I heard about this Los Angeles band on Twitter. They uploaded their music video “I Hope This Gets To You” on YouTube just a few days ago and it went viral a few hours later. This song had all the ingredients to potentially capture people’s interest: a song with clapping rhythm hooks, a poignant message with very strong vocals, sophisticated guitars that reach you packaged in innovative and creative inexpensive video. We like that! The band is three brothers, Ran, Ricky and Svend Lerche. Go check out their other music.

This producer from Tokyo has a very unique sound, mixing fat hip hop beats with broken melodies. It’s edgy, it sounds uneasy at times but always comes together with the rhythms where he succeeds to catch our ear. You get absorbed by each song, you don’t know where it brings you but you always end up at the right place. For electronic lovers, it’s worth listening.

I discovered this New York based band Phenomenal Handclap because of a remix of their song “Baby” was done by the talented Scottish DJ and producer Architeq. Their sound is fascinating, 70’s funky grooves blended with different style of organic beats played with live sounding drums mixed with an electronic psychedelic twist. I am a fan! They are a very artistic and skilled bunch. Not the usual 4 piece band but 8. I hope to see them play live soon.

And here is the Architeq remix of the song “Baby”. Another brilliant artist. Thanks Neil!
